Dear reader,  my name is Sandra. I’m a British native certified English teacher and author of this website. For over 10 years I’ve been teaching English to children, adolescents adults and business professionals in and around the Lausanne area, Canton de Vaud region of Switzerland. I taught English in Paris and the UK.

I have worked in publishing for many years in various capacities.

What do I miss about England?
I guess British humour,  English breakfast, Sunday lunch, the local pub, Marks and Spencers, I don't miss the weather.

 

I take an interest in current affairs and IT. 

​

As a teacher, clients often ask me to review, edit, re-write or translate texts from French-to-English i.e., corporate presentations, medical articles, technical manuals, white papers, speeches, etc...

 

Which is why incidentally teaching has led me into copywriting. Given that my former years were spent in the UK and Paris working in advertising, graphic design and web content development. It simply feels like a natural step forward to write copy and create content too.
